Monthly Archives: May 2015

As mentioned in a post yesterday, the Kindle edition of the book, Terminal Tendencies will go on sale today for 99 cents as part of Amazon’s Kindle Countdown Deals. The sale hasn’t started yet, and no, I don’t know when it starts. I had thought it was 8 AM, but since it hasn’t happened yet and it is already almost 8:30, we’ll just have to wait and see.

Anyway, keep checking and tell your friends.

Thanks,
JB

Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, May 26th,  and ending at midnight on June 1st Terminal Tendencies will be part of Kindle Countdown Deals! The Kindle edition will be on sale for 99 cents during the entire time. So, if you’ve been waiting to buy the Kindle edition of the book, your patience will be rewarded starting tomorrow. Please tell your friends.

Click here to see the book at Amazon.com.

Mark your calendars, please. The first book signing will be held at The Book Tavern on Broad Street, in Augusta, Georgia, on Saturday, June 6th from 1 pm to 3 pm.

Click here to go to the Facebook page for the event and sign up to help us figure out how many books to bring.

Bring your friends. Bring your acquaintances. Bring your enemies. Bring your frenemies. Bring your pets. Okay, I am not sure on the policy for that last one. You’ll have to check with The Book Tavern on that one. But, whatever you do, please help me get the word out. I’d love to meet you and talk about the book, books in the works, and whatever else you like, except for politics, religion, or your medical history, and I am somewhat okay with the last two. Somewhat.

The good folks at Book Tavern deserve your and my support as well. Come and visit the bookstore. Once you have, you will want to come back. They even have a nice coffee shop next door. This will be the day after First Friday, so there should still be a festive atmosphere and while downtown you can take in some art, antiques, and good food and beverages.

Terminal Tendencies is now on the shelf at Book Tavern in Augusta, Georgia. They are great people and have an excellent store, so please pay them a visit. Here are the particulars:

Click here for a map and directions

Or, visit their website at, you guessed it, http://www.booktavern.com/ for hours and other information.

On a related note, I will be making an announcement tomorrow about (drum roll please) a Book Signing! We have picked a date and time, but I am just doing a little due diligence to make sure that everything can be in place in time because the date we have tentatively chosen is fairly soon.

Thanks for your support,

JB

I need your help. Several of you have told me that you have left a review on Amazon for the book and at least one of you told me you already heard back from Amazon that your review had “gone live”. However, when this person followed the link provided by Amazon,  the review wasn’t found and,  so far,  there are no reviews showing.
When I contacted Amazon about this,  they said they couldn’t talk to me about reviews. They could only discuss it with the person who left the review.
So,  here is what I am asking.
1. If you haven’t left a review,  please, please do. It is one of the main things that can help a book be discovered.
2. If you have already left a review and it still isn’t there, Click here to contact Amazon about it.
3. If you still don’t see the review post in a day or so, try reviewing it again, and then go back to step 2. So,  basically, rinse & repeat.
Thanks in advance for your help. It is very frustrating to know something is wrong, but not even be allowed to communicate with them about it, but that is what I am facing and that is why I need your help.
Here is a link to the book both in electronic form and paperback. Perhaps you can try to leave a review for both and see if at least one of them works.

The first shipment of Terminal Tendencies is arriving today. They should be on the shelf by Thursday afternoon. Here is a picture to look at until you get yours.jbcttbook-cover

Interestingly enough, I learned that the books are printed in Charleston, SC. What a coincidence! I also learned that I didn’t need to pay for overnight shipping on the two sets of proofs I ordered earlier because the books are shipped by UPS within my same region, so they get here by the next day anyway, even when shipped ground. Oh well. Live and learn.

Don’t forget that you should expect an announcement either late Thursday or early Friday of this week. Don’t miss it.

In addition to the earlier link I sent for the book on Createspace.com, it is now available on Amazon. If you have a Prime account, you can get it with free shipping. However, I don’t have a coupon code available for the book on Amazon like I do on Createspace. So now you have five ways to read the book. You can buy the Kindle electronic edition for $2.99, you can borrow the book from the the Kindle Lending Library for free if you are an Amazon Prime subscriber, you can read it for free if you have a Kindle Unlimited subscription, and you can buy the print edition on either Createspace.com or Amazon.com.

There should be a few more options by the end of this week with even more coming soon. Book Tavern, on Broad Street in Augusta, Georgia will have a few copies to sell and some copies are being sent out to local libraries late this week.

Thanks again for all of the support. If you have already purchased the book, thank you very much and I hope you are enjoying it.

Look for an important and fun announcement either late Thursday or early Friday. Something is in the works, but I don’t want to say what until everything is in place.

Lots of news today.  The print version of the book is now available and for a limited time, you can save 20%.  Just use the discount code:JSJ74HES

I am extremely pleased with how the cover turned out.  Much credit goes to my illustrator,  John Games and my photographer, Kate Christian. I was also delighted with the interior design. Thanks for that go to John Games.

Also, I can’t give you any details yet,  because they aren’t final, but a book signing is in the works in Augusta,  Georgia,  so please stay tuned. I hope to have details by May 15th. With a signing scheduled before the end of June. Your attendance at that will not only help me get the word out,  it should also be fun.

One last thing. Starting today,  I will be posting at least once daily and plan on providing a sneak peek at book two in the Jack & Elle mysteries in a blog post in the very near future.

Thanks so much for your kind words of encouragement and your support. Check back in tomorrow for more news and thoughts.
