It has been a bad day so far. I woke up around 4:30 and checked the status of the book. It had fallen out of the Hot & Trending top 20 again and so far today, it hasn’t made it back.

I sent out some more requests for nominations and I hope that comes to fruition. Any help that any of you could give in that regard would be much appreciated.

Based on most of what I found in the top 20, I should have written a dystopian sci-fi paranormal romance novel, but I just can’t and won’t.

Anyway, I am hopeful that since so many of the books in the current Hot & Trending top 20 are in their last day or last few days in a couple of cases, perhaps my book will find its way back in.

In the meantime, I have decided to share an interesting little tidbit I heard from an older family member. When I told him about my book, which I had somehow neglected to do earlier in the process, he told me that my great-uncle had been a friend of Mickey Spillane(The writer of Mike Hammer fame). This was news to me. My great-uncle had told me of many interesting experiences in his life, but somehow he either neglected to tell me that one or he told me when I was at an age at which I didn’t appreciated it. Young ones, listen to these stories. before you know it, these important people in your life are gone and so are their stories and wisdom unless you stored it up while they were alive. He also told me that they liked to go fishing together somewhere in South Carolina, but he couldn’t remember where. I did find out that Mickey Spillane moved to Murrells Inlet after flying over the area while a fighter pilot and saying that he wanted to move there.

Now I need to go read some of his books and talk to some other older relatives to see what I can piece together. I think I may have a place for something like this in a future book.

Please keep sharing with others about the campaign. It is a long haul, so we can still pull it out. It isn’t scheduled to end until December 21st, so until then, keep up the good work.
